Accomodation in Bangkok - Urban House

There's this small pond outside Urban House.
The gold fishes are so cute^^
Really admire them as they still can survive under the extreme HOT weather everyday!

For this family trip to Bangkok, we decided to stay in this Guest House which is called
"Urban House".
Found this guest house through a forum and it is highly recommended by all of the forumers who has stayed there before as the owner is friendly and helpful,
location is convenient and price is reasonable.
Majority of the guests are from Taiwan & Hong Kong.
It's a private house which is transfered to Guest House.
Located at Soi Yommarat, Silom, it's only 5-10 mins walk to BTS Saladaeng station and Silom MRT station.

There's a small shopping complex nearby which is Silom Complex and also Robinson (but closing down soon as it's having clearance sale when I was there)

Urban House is a 3-storey building and it only has 5 rooms available.
Quite privacy in a sense there are not many guests.
And it's always fully booked, so do book in advance if you decided to stay here.
The owner "Kwang" is also in the same building

There are free reference of Guide Book for Thailand which are available at the lobby.

We booked 2 suite rooms, RM 130 per night per room together with light breakfast.

There's a small kitchen area in the suite room (cooking utensils and gas stove are not available).

Lounge area

Bathroom

And this is what light breakfast is:

Local Fruits, Orange Juice, Fresh Milk, Assorted Hot Drinks & Toast

Poser look!
It reminds me the good old days in aussie, as my face is as round as a big pancake!
Due to this food hunting trip.

For your info, every Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 2 pm,
there are road stalls setting up along the small lane heading into Urban House.
Thus there'll be traffic congestions if you're going to Urban House at that time.
We experienced that during the first day when we arrived.
I really admire all of the car drivers in Bangkok!
Their driving skills are superb! I don't think I'll dare to drive there.
Anyway, you can find great bargain along the stalls, trust me!!
I spent 630 baht in 15 minutes grabbing 4 short pants and 3 dresses.
The quality is not bad for that kind of price!
Great bargain, isn't it??
Provided you can stand under the hot sun to shop!!!

No regret staying in Urban House!

Edited (17/5): This guest house might not suitable for elderly as there's a narrow staircase to the rooms. You might be having problem carrying all the way up for your big luggage, but no worries, you can separate your things into small bags and carry them.
