NEW JERSEY, I'll be there soon!!! Probably in 2009?!!

*Thumbs up for the food, as for the environment, it's a bit out as it was so noisy that day because there were 2 functions going on at the same time.*

DIY Vegetarian Japanese Curry^^

Just cooked a big pot of Vegetarian Japanese Curry today (has been having lots of meats for the past few days!)

I bought the pack of Vermont Japanese Curry at the Japanese Food Fair in Jusco, MV. It's so cheap, only Rm 9.90 as the usual price is RM 16.90.

So basically I just put in onions, carrots and potatoes into the curry. You can add in chicken meat if you want to.

It's really easy to cook as compare to the usual curry or rendang that we have.
Mum and I also think that it will be good to use this curry as the fillings for curry puffs or samosa!!
Yummy ^_________^

*The ingredients for the J Curry: Onions, Potatoes, and Carrots.
All cut in small cubes*

*Firstly, you'll have to fried the onions for 10 mins*

*Then only add in carrots and potatoes, you'll have to fry for a while before adding in water*

* Add in water to let it boils till the potatoes and carrots are soft*

*Cover it to let it boils for around 20 mins*

* J-Curry that I used: Vermont Curry*

*This is how the packing inside*

*There're 12 cubes all together.

* I put in 3 cubes for cooking this time*

*Yeah, this is what you get!!!*

*It will be good to go with toast bread rather than white bread!*

International House of Pancakes

Since we didn't know which restaurant to choose from as there're lots of new eateries in the new wing of Sunway Pyramid. After a long walk, we ended up to have our lunch at the International House of Pancake as the guys were really hungry!!!

While we were browsing through the menu, we were so happy to find out that their set meal is so cheap! Only RM 15 and it comes with a drink. So, all of us ordered different sets to try out since a set comes with spaghetti, fried chicken, salad and toast sandwiches!

But I made a mistake in choosing my set!!! As it took about 30 minutes to arrive whereas the others were already enjoying their sets!
At first the waitress told us we need to wait around 15 minutes for the food, but I don't know why my set took so long!
When we checked with the waitress for the second time, she told us she couldn't do anything as she already informed the kitchen staffs to prepare it. And the most hilarious part was whereby she told us she will be scolded by her boss if she keeps on reminding the kitchen staffs about my order!
Then how about me?! I'm the customer and I have the right to know when will my food be ready and how come it took them ages to prepare it??
Anyway, our mood was good that day, so we didn't complain again.
But the reason she gave me is really way too over!

When my set arrived, I was glad to see that it was at least better than Hot Roasted Chicken set that a brilliant person ordered!

*Hot Roasted Chicken Set*

* Combo Set which I waited for so long but was disappointing! *

*Spaghetti & Sandwiches set*

*The sandwich is nice*

Anyhow, when I bite on the fried chicken, oh my god, they marinated it with pure salt only I guess, it was superb salty!!!The spaghetti and taco were just so-so, I didn't finish the whole set, as it was really not to my liking.

Well, even though the set meal is cheap, it was disappointing...
Probably will give a try on the pancakes or waffles next time, as they have varieties of choices on that! I hope it won't be tasted as bad as the set meals!

Luna Bar

It was Tag Heuer Trade Dinner last Friday night at Luna Bar.
The weather was extremely good after the rain!
Thank God!!
Able to see
KLCC so clear and near! Just right in front of me!!
But only saw 1 tower from the view up there.

For the
makan part, there was lots of FOOD!!!
Spaghetti, Beef
Rendang, Fried Mussle, Prawns, Veggies, Lemon Fillets,
Grilled Beef, Salads, varieties of cakes, puddings, fruits &
kuih!

I love the beef
rendang!! It's really good!!!
Goes so well with plain white rice!! Oh yum!!!

Empty seats as all were busy watching the
award presentation out there =)

Congratulations to the winners!!

The music performance by the so called "Bond Girls".

Well, we did chill out inside the bar half way through the
award presentation.
It was so cold there!!!
I think I still prefer staying up there at the outdoor section.
But the troublesome part will be having to climb through the
darkness staircase!! =(

Book Fair @ The Mines

This is really an old post!!!
There was this Chinese Book Fair at The Mines during the start of the school holidays.
I went there on the 2nd day with my cousin as she was looking for some books.
Well, I should say this was more like a makan trip for me instead of exploring the books
As I ate 2 ice creams & 1 "Tea Egg" at the fair.
The Mango ice cream was not nice at all, even though it claimed that it was made with 100% Fruit Juice. The texture was not smooth enough.
But for the Ocha (Green Tea) ice cream, surprisingly it tasted very nice!
I like the Ocha flavour, and the ice cream cone is so fresh, very crunchy!!!
Yum!! Yum!!
I did eat "Tea Egg" before in this kind of book fair and most of them are tasteless...
However, this is the very First time I ate "Tea Egg" which is so nice!!!
Especially the egg yolk, it's full of the flavour!!
Mum did try to cook "Tea Egg" but even though we boiled the eggs in the soup for quite a long time, the eggs are still tasteless....sigh...

Some pics from the book fair:

*Saw this lady which is very famous in doing hair styling in the "Ladies First" programme at the fair*

*Cute Beijing Olympic mascot*

Shopping Spree!!!

It's Y.E.S and this is the time we girls going out to shop crazily!!!
Went to Mid Valley yesterday, early in the morning, that's the time when you can easily get a parking. If not, you'll have to go round and round in the carpark for don't know how long, unless luck is by your side.

After spending a whole day there, I got myself a sweet yellow dress from Urban & Co, a pair of lovely sandals with ankle-straps from Lewre and another simple pair of sandals just for wearing in the office. A very satisfying shopping spree with the girls as they're always my best shopping partners!!!

I did order some clothes from Sisonne and already received it last Friday.
The Tic-Tac tee is nice, good quality with stretchable material.
But for the purple mini dress, it has some weird smell on it, I suspect it should be the smell of the coloring. So I have to soak it longer and even sprayed perfume on it to get rid of the weirdo smell.

Gonna uploads the pics soon...
Got to go now...tadda!!!

*EDITED with PICS*
