Bangkok Trip Day 3

Really out dated post for the trip, as it already passed 2 months!
But I'll jot down everything I ate which I enjoyed so much!!!

********************************************************************

Day 3: Lunch @ Banana Leaf restaurant, Silom Complex

The owner of the guest house recommended us to eat at "Banana Leaf" restaurant at Silom Complex, which located within 15 mins walking distance from our place.
She told us Banana Leaf is serving authentic Thai Food and the price is reasonable!
So we had our lunch there and the restaurant was still empty around 11.30am, but was packed with office workers during lunch time!! Really fully pack, so this proof that the food is nice as it was mostly locals eating there except us.

These were what we had ordered:

* The must-order Tom Yum Kung*

*Deep Fried Veggies, but I forgot what veggies is this. The texture is like eating Tempura*

*Sweet+ Sour+ Spicy minced pork which comes with the Deep Fried Veggies*

*Another must-order: Pad Thai*

* Steam Fish with Lime*

*The gravy is to my liking. Spicy and Sour, making me craving for more*

*Deep Fried Crab Meat Balls*

In the end, the total bill was only around RM 85, freaking cheap as comparing to eating Thai Food in KL!!! Moreover this restaurant is located inside a shopping complex!!!

Will definitely be going there again next trip!! I wanna order Oyster Omelet which I saw so many people ordered that dish!!!

Day 3: Late Afternoon @ Ekamai

We went for foot massage at Ekamai after lunch. On the way walking back to BTS station, we saw this special cafe which is selling local Thai coffee. Since we're not rushing back to the guest house, so we dropped down there to try their coffee and Fish Cakes!!

* Did you see the guy sitting at the left-hand side?*

*He was looking at me taking pics here and there, so decided to take a pic of him too*

*Mum and I together with the Mix tea and Coffee*

*It has such a big outdoor space outside the cafe!!!*

The "Cham" (Milk Tea+Coffee) is very nice!!! And we ordered Fish Cakes as tea-time snack!

*The fish cake is so fresh till you can see the fish bones!!*

* One thing I like the most in Bangkok will be the special sauce for deep fried food!!! There will be peanuts, cucumber cubes and celery inside*

Day 3: Late Evening @ Siam Square

We went to Siam Square after Foot Massage to do some shopping.
One thing I like traveling to Bangkok is whereby you'll find that:

TIME PASSES VERY SLOW IN BANGKOK = YOU WILL HAVE MORE TIME TO SHOP AND WALK AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's why we still have time to go for Swensen's.

Ordered one set of Chocolate Fondue which is only around RM 25!!! There are 9 big scoops of ice cream whereby we can choose any 9 flavors that we like together with some fruits and a piece of chocolate brownie.

Day 3: Dinner @ Chinatown

Bro wanna eat seafood tonight. So here we are at Chinatown, Bangkok!!!
T&K Seafood

*Curry Crabmeat, should not order this, not nice at all. Some more it was served not hot enough!! BLEH ><*

*The sauces for you to dip*

*Grilled Sotong, not nice too!!*

*Fried Rice with Prawns*

*Fried Morning Glory*

*Grilled Tiger prawns*

*Grilled Fish*

Overall, I will not recommend you to eat here.
The food is really just so-so...
This meal cost us around RM 100++. I think we can eat a better seafood meal in Klang with the same amount of money.

But you can see the other side of Chinatown at night, the hustling and bustling of the street.
Whole stretch of street which is full with road side hawkers selling all sorts of food!!!
Totally different side from what I saw during the day in Chinatown on my last trip.
There's a wholesale street nearby Chinatown which is called "Sampheng Market" selling all those accessories like earrings, bracelets, necklaces, belts, key chains.
You'll need to buy in bulks (either 6 or 12 pieces) in order to get a cheaper price.
